Our guidelines ensure a respectful, inclusive, and productive environment for all members of the Microsoft IT Pro community.

At Microsoft IT Pro, we're committed to fostering a community where IT professionals can learn, share knowledge, and network in a positive environment. These guidelines apply to all community interactions, including events, online discussions, and social media.

Expected Behavior

Be considerate, respectful, and collaborative.
Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.
Be mindful of your surroundings and fellow participants at in-person events.
Alert community organizers if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.

Communication Guidelines

Stay on topic in discussion forums and event Q&A sessions.
Be constructive when providing feedback or criticism.
Respect the expertise and opinions of others, even when you disagree.
Avoid spamming, excessive self-promotion, or disruptive behavior.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are considered unacceptable within our community:

Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
Verbal or written abuse, including offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability, or physical appearance.
Inappropriate use of sexual imagery or language at community events or platforms.
Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
Sustained disruption of community events or discussions.
Unauthorized photography or recording.

Reporting Guidelines

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, or have any concerns, please report it by contacting the organizers at community@microsoftitpro.lk.

All reports will be handled with discretion. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately. If a community member engages in unacceptable behavior, the community organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including a temporary ban or permanent expulsion from the community without warning.
